2	{tooltip}Post Graduate Students’ Attitude towards the use of Internet{end-texte}Abstract – This study aims at revealing post graduate students’ attitudes towards the use of Internet at Dibrugarh University, Assam. Internet is a useful tool for all in a technologically sophisticated world. Internet use for education is very important. It is now in practice to teach school to college to get more out of it. In this study, the emphasis is given on the most important success factor that investigates about Internet usage by students of the Post Graduates, whether it is an effective learning tool for students and teachers and also examines the level of use Internet and whether the Internet is useful for distance learners. The sample of the data is taken from the. The results reveal that most students find that the Internet knowledge is essential for students and teachers. All respondents for the questionnaire feel comfortable using the Internet and provide substantial information and half of those surveyed felt that Internet use is difficult in school. Results show that the Internet is easier to use then the collection of research tools, while the Internet is very important. It is concluded that students should align their potential for significant and positive use of the Internet. This research paper focuses on all post graduate students frequently using the Internet for study and related work. 3	{tooltip}Vietnamese EFL Learners’ Reading Comprehension Affected via Metacognitive Strategy Instruction{end-texte}Abstract – A number of studies around the world have laid focus on investigating the effect of meta-cognitive strategies in EFL learning, specifically in reading comprehension. The findings of these studies suggest that meta-cognitive strategies have a positive correlation with learners’ reading comprehension. As an attempt to contribute more empirical evidence to these previous findings, the present study examined the impact of meta-cognitive strategy instruction on Vietnamese EFL learners’ reading comprehension. It also aimed at identifying the conscious use of these learners’ metacognitive strategies concerned. Participants were sixty-four Vietnamese college students, who were taking English courses in Foreign Language Center of Can Tho University, located in Can Tho City, South of Vietnam. The findings showed that the experimental group via a special instructional treatment program had more enhancement than the control group in the reading post-test and the conscious use of the target strategies in the post-questionnaire although their level was not close to that of good readers. As a result, it suggests that apart from other regular cognitive activities (e.g. scanning, skimming, picking up new words, pre-teaching vocabulary, translating), EFL teachers should raise learners’ attention to meta-cognitive strategies while conducting reading tasks in particular.{end-tooltip}	Do Minh Hung et al.

4	{tooltip}Watching the Watchdog: An Analysis of Nigerian Media Performance during the 2011 General Elections{end-texte}Abstract – The general elections in 2011 in Nigeria took place amidst local and international skepticism about the competence of the ruling party to organize peaceful, free, fair and credible election. The election ended up being universally acclaimed as credible. The mass media played very important role in covering and reporting the election. Most of the media coverage was however concentrated on urban locations while the rural areas and the grassroots were largely neglected. The new media played prominent role during the election. Social media were adequately exploited by the electorates to share information and prevent irregularities that could have smeared the election. This trend largely contributed to the success of the election. Nigeria media appears to be maturing and gradually assuming its responsibilities in nurturing democracy, its institutions and practices in the country. With the assistance of the civil society, the media could divest itself of the ulterior influences that prevents it from providing appropriate leadership in growing democracy. The secret of the success is mostly dependent on entrepreneurial skills and attitude of the person concerned. 7	{tooltip}A Study of the Views of Teacher Educators about the Role of Team Building in Quality Sustenance in Teacher Training Institutes{end-texte}Abstract – The fact that teacher is the backbone of society cannot be denied and hence teacher training institut.es need to be quality oriented and must perform best practices that ensure quality of training. Teacher morale, faculty cohesiveness and school climate all have a greater impact on student learning than any other factors. Team building in teacher training institutes help in sustaining quality of teaching learning process. The researchers tried to find out the views of the teacher educators about the role of team building in quality sustenance in teacher training institutes. A self-made interview schedule was used. The items of the interview schedule included the questions on the concept of team building and quality sustenance, why it is necessary to develop team building among teachers, what are the benefits, what are the possible threats for team building and how to overcome them. 15 teacher educators from Mehsana City were selected as sample. They were consulted and their responses were noted down. Qualitative analysis of the responses was carried out and findings were drawn out. Most of the teacher educators were of the view that team building is the best way to collaborative, high performing teams that will also increase faculty morale and student s performance. Team building also develops self-esteem and breaks down barriers and higher level of job satisfaction.
